I'm rocket scientist, closer to a rock really, but I wonder about the pressure in the tank because the "valve" (I know you don't have one)is always open. If the pressure (PSI) that keeps the boat afloat is also constantly pushing out against the floor and bulkheads? If so how much greater does it become in big seas as the boat rises and falls? Is the pressure only equal to the size of the pressure of the opening? It says never to sail with the valve open, not why, in the owners manual. Also how much water (ballast)comes out comming off big waves or when healed at a 45? Not good or bad just some thoughts as to questions I don't have answers for. Bob Frak
