Actually, I'm fairly certain my tank has been done. In any event, I was speaking of looking through the forward (cut out) piece of my CB trunk towards the AFT side of the FORWARD bulkhead. Strong enough floodlight, should be able to see if it's been glassed. If so, ergo, tank is done, and I won't have to make an inspection port cut through the sole! Hey, call me lazy, I don't mind the less work. Sure hate to make a cut that turns out not needed.
Well, if it's any consolation, if I lived relatively close, I'd volunteer to assist you for the learning/looking, if nothing else.
On my 'A', I'm sure the CB line rises through the sole 'well' forward (at least a foot?) of the rear end of the CB trunk. I know the 'C's cabin is longer, hence the loss of 2 feet of cockpit... perhaps that's why the line rises right at the end of the CB trunk, where it can chafe away, burn through into the air chamber over the years?
I don't know. Some of you guys will, though, and I'm just curious. Oops! Hope I didn't answer 2 questions from 2 different threads here...
