Good news, I got 'er out. Bad news, I need to find me some aluminum stock to fab a replacement (unless relatively cheap? How much did you pay for yours from Schock?). The worse news is, is that I still cannot remove (forward) my CB. ALMOST, mind you, but cannot be done.
As an 'aside', I am amazed at how little wear there is in the CB hole. Some slight 'oval' along edges, but pretty much meaningless. Obviously, stick to aluminum.
Anyway, REAL reason I'm chatting at you all with my fingers: how robust is the hull, how can I lift the forward half of the boat UP an inch or three without damaging anything, will I breal the hull (along with other assorted questions, having never done it before). Is it best to simply jack the trailer up, place something under the hull for a brace, then lower the trailer?
How best to NOT CHANCE causing any damage?
