Remember as you lift the front and the weight comes off the full length of the bunks it's going onto the most aft end of them where the hull and bunks meet. Watch for "oil canning" in the hull (bending inwards).The strongest part of the hull is where the transom is and in the bow where the sides, bottom and front all converge. The next best spot is at the main bulkheads. If you need allot of room and have the material you could jack up the trailer and put blocks or ramps under the wheels then drop the tongue to the ground, that will raise the transom, put blocks under the transom, raise the tongue and block the bow then lower the tongue and remove the wheel blocks or ramps or tires. That would give you close to 2 feet. Be sure to be over stable ground and block well. Good luck Bob Frak
