Fabricating new 2023 centerboard pins.

Attached pic. First of all, I cannot believe how hot aluminum can get from simply drilling ONE hole through it! Great heat conductor, no doubt about it. I have the first pin basically ready. However, I may have to 'tweek' it some to fit. See, Schock didn't actually take the time to 'dead center' the two holes for attaching... assuming this is OEM! In fact, one hole was WELL off the centerline of the aluminum stock. So, while I've fabricated some pretty strict tolerances... I may have to slightly enlarge these drilled holes, on the off chance I have to slightly 'angle' them in order to match the existing attachment area of the hull. No real 'biggie', but I'd just as soon not have the attachment holes it screws into suddenly enlarged by 50% or so, making for a sloppy and lose attachment. We'll see. May work as a perfect fit, and I'd just as soon save myself the time of filling the existing holes, then drilling new ones.
