Not so sure I can pack the holes from underneath.

That is, without air bubbles. Had been thinking of squeezing as much 5200 up there as I could, needle applicator, then screw 'em in. Sort of figured the excess stuff would squeeze into the tank, such as that old pic of yours. So, you think resin and hardener would be better? As far as I can see up those holes... certainly not all the way... can't see any wood. Also, I took a look at the ends of the screws. Nothing but hardened resin coating the screw tips. Looks, at least appears, to have been bedded in nothing but resin.
