Being a solid sprit out front, (should you mold it on front), it legalizes the additional length of your boat. Your boat is now 23' 4" long. Should the sprit make it more than 26", you'll be in the next legal class of vessel or 26'. That will change a few legal requirements that you must have on your boat!
