However, that's simply the only picture of a plate that I had handy. One thing you guys didn't catch: why 3 shackle attachment points fore and aft, yet only TWO on port and starboard? Seems rather backwards to me, as I'd rather three to the sides. ANyway, several are available, different shapes and sizes. OH! Hell, if I'm good enough to not tangle my sheets on the rediculous (but efficient) goose-neck, I can certainly not worry about tangling on a protruding plate. In any event, I'm hoping to find a plate with two (three would be better) per side, at least one dead center aft (for a vang), though I'd not object to 2 or even 3 aft. I've got some great SS plate here that I picked up for rudder cheekplates... but don't want to fab it for this plate.
Certainly I'm not the only 2023 owner to do this, so hoping 'He Who Has' will fill me in on what worked best for him, seller, etc. Of the half dozen or so I've located so far, this one would come closest.
Still, I've no clue what the fore attachment points would be used for, nor am I about to spend time 'wondering' about them. Cutting them off seems wasteful.
Who has a plate in place? Can you post a pic? Of any plate? Spin halyard, uphaul, snuffer.. heck, throw in the main halyard, fairlead all to cockpit, and you've already used up four attachment points. Or am I just getting to lazy?
