Hello Gary I sent an e-mail to the factory asking about the repairs they make when boats are returned for tank repairs. I'll post the reply.
We don’t have a standard method of repair. It depends on exactly what needs to be done. When we cut open the cabin sole, we think of the best way to close it back up so it looks as original as possible. Aft of the centerboard trunk, we sometimes install an inspection port in the hole, since that area is a flotation tank. Forward, in the water tank area, we usually put the pieces back into place.
I have attached drawings that might be helpful.

So nothing new there. The drawings are the original, not to scale, free hand diagrams with notes for construction. If you would like to see them I could e-mail them to you.
From what I saw it's not recommended to use treated wood. The treatment does help repel water but it doesn't bond as well. The advantage of cutting out the biggest section of floor that you can is that you have less to do upside down. How do you think they modified the tank fill/drain valve without opening the floor? Or did they open the floor and just coat the tank and not glass it? I guess you'll see it when you open it up. Bob 2023C Alegria
