(Gary, Santana 2023, Milwaukee) The way the mast support sandwiches a piece of plywood, I couldn't see a good way to glass it so I just painted it with epoxy and moved on. It should probably have been made of composite instead of 2x4s. I couldn't paint the area between the 2x4s. If it ever gets soft, I will have to replace it with something else. When I opened it up to work on through bolts for the centerboard, it still looked fine 2 years later. Seth
