My thought's lead to PVC pipe. Either 2, 4" diameter pieces stood on end next to each other with end caps sanded flat to help distribute the load and set in a bed of thickened epoxy. Or, many 2" pipes stood on end bonded together, sort of like you stood them 10 or so of them up in a coffee can (just to help image it). They could be bonded together and clamped before being set into a bed of thickened epoxy. Just a thought. Bob
