Tried to get a closer pic of just that area. Certainly does look like he simply slapped a bandaid (of bare wood!) over his cut-out. That small, a reciprocal (sp?) saw's my guess. Big ripping blade

Hmm... damned glad he didn't cut across the trunk there, though... as maybe he used an nine inch blade... phew!

Can you believe this?!
