hosting the mast for first tim

Report: outside forum guidelines

If the weather holds this weekend i may set up the mast on my new to me santana 21, in the driveway. Anyone have any sugestions or pointers. picked up boat in winter and PO could not show me how to set it up. Do i need to have the side stayes attached before i lift it?
