I'll tell you, I call it as I see it. The PO did some really 'bone-head' things here... but I will also give him some dues. He did a really, REALLY great job glassing the sole to the trunk (damnit!) He had to have done it blind, one arm at a time in that small hole. Like I said, good job. You wouldn't believe all the different tools I ended up needing in there. Three different types of (electrical) saws, and a host of pneumatics, also. Much as I earlier suspected, the sole is in very good shape, respectively. Also as I suspected, where the PO botched the last his access posrts by NOT GLASSING (!!!)... yes, that definately allowed the water and subsequent rot to spread into that area of the sole. Also, I now know why Rudy's 'fix-it' pics show his cut running straight atop of the CB Trunk! After laying out a couple of different 'cut-out' patterns, then thinking them through over a smoke, it made the most sense, at least for a 'A' model. I did, however, modify my cut, taking it out in one really large section, and one smaller. This larger piece is just about the largest you can remove from an 'A' fairly easily. Hope I remember to write down the measurememnts in case someone asks me for when they do their tank. Anyway, due to the 'head' on the port side... looking at what puny cut-out I'd have there to try to wedge my chest in... yep, that's why cut down the trunk and opened up the head deck. Well, I won't ramble on anymore, it's just some cut-out wood.
