Hey, the attention is this: do not ASSUME that your mast support crutch is CENTERED under the sole! Tom told me his 2 x 4's were not even under the pole, and mine, centered, was about a 1/2" off. Why attention? That might not seem like much to you, but if you hope to cut down the trunk, TOP DEAD CENTER without making a real nasty... do a bunch of underside pre-measurements first. Sure would suck to cut your tank, then realize you can't use the sole piece, as it won't quite rest on the trunk during re-assembly. Just a heads up, Bob!

Oh, yes. Just visible is that alloy 'pipe' sticking through the sole. I decided last second to cut around it. One, I have a step in, two, I didn't want to try to rip it up through that reinforced fiberglass area. Still have great access to the aft bulkhead.

Both bulkheads, by the way, are iron, great shape.

Seth, that's why I lucked out with the air chamber... still very solid.
