Bill,

Thanks for the specifics on the keel pin. At some point I expect to post images of the modification made to my S21 (before I bought it) in terms of keel cable, and access port. I have made a point to leave the top of the stern end of my keel trunk off, so that i can inspect the keel cable and pulley with a flashlight. The cable and pulley looks good, thought the flattening/compression of the cable where it wraps the the pivot concerns me a little (the attachment to the keel was apparently rebuilt). The cable end loops around a pivoting 5/8's inch rod of steel. Then the loop is made with 2 nicopress fittings.

Right now my main thing is sealing the small leak that i have via the scuppers. Have since taken out the old caulking and filled with epoxy and microspheres. still leaks abit. Going to try giving a coat of standard marine epoxy after a little sanding.

The learning curve of sailing, gotta love it.
