Is for the rollback. That way you can take it to the welder who will do a better job (better access to tools) than a mobile welder will have. Just make sure besides the trailer winch strap, safety chain and transom straps to run another line from the trailer frame near the axle back across the transom and to the other side just as insurance. Even if the mast is down I would take the mast off the boat during loading and remove anything not secured inside so it won't shift when being winched up onto the hauler. Bob
