I'm a little bummed with myself, as I should have seen this in advance! Buck fever, I guess, LOL's! Here's a pic showing the closed sole. I have not yet faired down the edges of the seams, nor yet poured the finishing epoxy/glass layer. Why a little bummed? For the obvious. My seam edges do not mate up perfectly! That is, the glass/epoxy in some areas of the under-sole edge is slightly thicker than others, even after sanding smooth. As such, I can feel a slightly higher edge along the seam in some areas. You know, the inboard (cut-out) sole piece is now 1/16" higher than what it was? Matches up pretty damned nicely in most places, but there are a few areas like this. Oh, well, waiting for the epoxy present to dry before finishing.
