(Gary, Santana 2023A, Milwaukee) Thanks Gary. The good news is one of the previous owners cut an opening (with a resealable screw cap) to allow people to see into the ballast. The opening is maybe 6 inches wide near the mast support post (aft of the post, starboard side). I'm planning to inspect it more closely tomorrow, but all looked good when I last viewed it. I will definitely take your advice and snap a bunch of photos once I have the boat. I'll keep you posted on what I find (and post some photos for your thoughts if that's OK with you).
