OK here we go. I now have the keel off of the boat. I knew I was in for quite a bit of work, and this is true. The keel trunk is cluttered with oysters/muscels. (I guess it saw fresh and salt water) Not too bad, but will need cleaning. Next the keel and cable are full of rust. This was expected. I have taken photo's but can not post them right now. I'll try that later this afternoon. What looked perfectly fine from the outside, is a mess. The cable will need to be replaced. The pully needs work. There is tons of rust. Enough to possibly have the keel rusted into place.
The interior is at about 85%. New paint, and all wood is refinnished. I moved the power panel. Still need to run new wire, and add cushions. Four coats of polyurethane on all interior teak. No interior photos yet. Won't climb into the boat right now. It is being supported buy cinder-block colums and a railroad cross tie. I really do not want to add any stress to the hull.
Exterior Teak is being refinished. I managed to salvage the grab rails. I had to replace the Hatch slides on the cabin top. The companion way teak is fine. the foot step at the bottem of the companionway will need to be replaced. I have the teak for this.
I ordered a mainsail about six weeks ago. It should be here tomorow.
I'll be doing a bottem job and the keel work at the same time. After that is complete, I will repaint the hull and topsides.
