What if you made a second bulkhead out of 1/2" or 5/8's marine plywood and laminated it to the existing one but made it so it would run all the way up to the cabin top. Basically so it looked like the starboard side but only stuck out 3 or 4 inches. You would need to remove the teak trim and bond it to the side of the cabin, the bottom of the deck and the side of the hull but you could remove the backing plate for the chainplate and make one that was shaped like an "L" and through bolt it both to the chainplate and to the new bulkhead. That way the load wouldn't be all on the cabin side but run down the new bulkhead to the bottom of the deck and the hull side. Once you redistributed the load the forward bulkhead could be rebonded and most likely not pull apart again.
I have a few questions. Does you rig stay up all summer? Is it tuned super tight? If it stays up all summer and you sail it with a tight tune have you considered setting up the forestay so when your not sailing you could ease off the tension with the lever to a resting load? Bob
