Recessed Furler - 2023r

Report: outside forum guidelines

I have a recessed area and attachment for a furler drum on a Santana 2023r. My guess is so the rig can accomodate a full sized jib vs cut down to fit with a furler.

It is not currently utilizing the recessed area and has two long tangs attached to the end of the furler to allow it to attach to the stem fitting.

My new ss pins in the furler to stay and stay to stem fitting where slightly bent when I wrapped up the boat after 2 weeks on the SoCal coast racing and cruising. It does not give a great deal of confidence in the rig.

Question: I can run out the stay fittings a few inches to max, and that will allow the furler to drop into the recess. Where would I run the furling line?

Is there a tune guide that recomends rake for the rig? I had 2 degrees and had positive helm, but may loose that if I use the recess/cutout.
