In Response To: 2023r - Centerboard leak (link) (pic) (Michael)

Can you mount the ratchet higher? How much weight are we talking on the centerboard? Is the photo of the cabin step base, or where?
Could you fashion some sort of container that would fit over the bottom of the 4/1 block, high enough to contain any water, that could be sealed at the base, around the tube (some sort of funnel)?
Was the design intended to have packing inside the top nut that you would have to loosen and tighten each time you repositioned the centerboard? Have you tried adding some new graphite packing under the top nut?
