My connector was one used for an old model 5-ton military truck battery connection. The maqnufacture only sells them in very large quiantities but I found small quantities at a surplus store, (don't remember the web site address.)
The ones I got are really good and strong white-ish plastic. I think I still have an extra around the house somewhere but they were around $40.00 each. (Not cheap but I had to made the minimun charge to get them anyways!) For the past ten years, I've had zero problems with it.
Somewhere in my site you can see a picture with the plug assy. in the back graund, but I don't remember where. Maybe I'll add a picture of it.
