The centerboard cable on the R runs through a series of pulleys and attaches to the head of the centerboard, that way when the board is down the centerboard cable never leaves the centerboard trunk, it also means that there isn’t much of leverage, from the cb pin to the cb head helping you lift the board, that’s why it runs thru the 4 to 1, then to cable
