2023A Keel Lifting Line?

I may need to replace the keel lifting line on my 2023A and am wondering how it is attached to the keel. Since I keep my boat on a mooring all summer, I would like to have a diver do the replacement when he also inspects the mooring. Does this seem reasonable? Also, George says on his site that he thinks the proper line diameter is 5 mm though he used one-quarter inch line. 5 mm is .196" and 6 mm is .236"... so which diameter is correct? Any ideas on the most durable type of line to use? New England Ropes has both diameters in their V-12 Vectran 12 strand single braid. I don't see anything else that is available in the 5 mm diameter.
