My mast failed at the slot. I'm replacing my mast with a Dwyer DM330. Instead of the slot for the spreader bar I'm installing a DH2331 (Colgate New Style Spreader Bracket) $64.90 and DH2503 Airfoil spreaders. I'm also going to a jib hound for the forestay. The Dwyer extrusion is 3.3" x5" which is a little diverent than the 3" x 4.9" Santana extrusion. I'm also adding tangs to the the mast for connection of the standing rigging. I can send you a drawing from Dwyer if you'd like.
