Hi all, just became the owner of one of these wonderful vessels, a 73' Seafarer 31'. Overall condition is good, and the volvo penta runs very well, however I found that the stock thermostat calls for a 168 degree, and I have observed that it runs on the average of 200 degrees. This may be correct or acceptable or even normal, I don't know. I have very little expenience with diesel engines. Please advise. P.S. S/V HaThi and I are in Arkansas, Maumell Lake to be exact, anyone in this area? Would like to hear from you.
