hello.i am not new to sailing ,but this seafarer26 is my first boat.it is just 'plain boat'no frills.1977 model.i sail on eagle mountain lake ,ft.worth,tx..wind is usually from s/sw at 5-10 sometimes 10-20.the boat sails well at about 10 knts wind with a heel of about 5-10 deg.on a broad reach.a puff of 15 knts heels the boat to 20,a puff of 20 knts heels the boat to 25/30 deg.i have read on sailnet that this boat likes to settle down at about 25deg. of heel, but that it can be considered 'tender' in certain conditions.this boat rocks easily when boarded from the dock, unlike an alberg30 we stepped on that didn't move an inch.iwant to become profficient enough to take this boat to corpus and sail the inland waterway and bays.i am not interested in racing, only cruising.would adding a wing to the keel bottom (like the newer hunters and catalinas)help with the tenderness?i would like to hear from other seafarer26 owners.thanks.
