Thanks Rachel, Every word you said is true and extremely important. This Seafarer 24 with the futura deck was the more pocket cruiser of the two it seems to me. And talking with riggers, they say that what I have is WAY OVERKILL...I do know chainplates and I am amazed at the backing plates on this boat. The bedding is holding well and all bolds are more than sufficiant and in good shape. I plan to keep all fittings the same and only use a higher quality wire...Dyform. 50% stronger and 30% less stretch.
