You might be right about the keel bolt thing and my water problem could be a leak between the cabin cockpit liner and the mat and rove hull. I had an interesting occurrence this afternoon while cutting part of a glob of polyester that usually covers a keel bolt. Details will follow as soon as I have an answer. I have to cut another deck plate on the sole to fully cut away the glass.
yes. the second rudder would be a must for any crossing or long gunkholeing. I am going top check the Mistervee wind vane you mentioned and then check what Practical Sailor has to say. PS is THE mag to get. I have followed their advise on products for years and am very happy. Waiting for some TC-11 for my electronics not ACE is the only outlet that I have found but it beat 23 other rust inhibitors that also coat electronics(My Ham radio got wet in one corner after a flooded basement.
I have a book some place that explains all the major wind vanes of the day and one stuck out. it moved trim tabs on an aux rudder. samll, highly efficient and home made or you can buy one.
