(Adam Plourde - Seafarer 24 "Godot" - Chesepeake Bay) Why don't you try and put a bead of Ace Hardware Silicon around the base of your mast for now. I say Ace 100% Silicon because PS just did a review of 23 different sealants and Ace won hands down. If you don't get Practical Sailor I recommend it highly. This stuff is not hard to remove, but it does adhere well enough to make a seal. I would put some around anything, including dorad seats. If you could post a pic of the top of your boat that might help me to see what is going on. Give the silicon a try. skipper
