Thanks for the input. I haven't much to contribute regarding the Bermuda Meridian, but would add my own limited research regarding the evolution of the marque.
My understanding is that at some point when production of the Meridian moved to the US, Philip Rhodes' son Bodie, and Jim McCurdy - not yet McCurdy & Rhodes - "stretched" Philip Sr's original design by a foot or so, or to just shy of 26'. The outward tells of that effort are two, rather than one, small dead lights in the forward cabin, and truncation of the Meridian's full keel to a much shorter "fin keel", with a skeg mounted rudder.
There is a photo of the stretch Meridian floating about online. Unfortunately it appears - despite owning one - that I've lost the link in both my picture files and my bookmarks, so I'm unable to provide a photo. Perhaps Rachel, who has an amazing database of boat lore stored in her head, will be able to cite the site.
