here is a picture of what the gooseneck looks like on my 24, where somehow I must attach a jiffy-reefing hook. Please note the the high-tech device that prevents the boom from dropping during reefing The downhaul has been pulled aside for clarity, what you're seeing there is the topping lift.

You may also notice that there are two throats in the track. The lower one is the factory's weird idea, and the upper one I put in myself, so I don't have to unship the boom to lower or reef the sail. Go figure. Sorry if the JPEG compression degrades the photo.

I will also post a close-up of the roller boom mechanism.
