I'm a fan of the outboard-in-a-well, even though it has its disadvantages (don't they all!). This is the article I was referring to, and one of my inspirations. What I'm still looking for, though, is a way to look at a given lazarette (that is NOT currently a motor well), and determine A) Could it be a motorwell; and, B) How would I decide where (for-and-aft) to place the motor/hole?
Thanks for the response. James is an inspiration to our type of sailor, isn't he I had the good fortune to meet him and Mei and to spend an afternoon with them. They're both as nice as could be, and very modest as well.
