About 25 miles out into the Gulf Of Mexico. Wind 10 - 15 knots, and slowly increased through the night. We wound up sailing under a reefed main and reefed jib. I picked gulf weed from the bow cleats the next morning so we stuck the bow through a wave at least once.
The sheet to tiller steering steered the boat all day and all night though.

The music is by a friend of Laura's son, written and performed by him.
The site where the link resides is Sail Far. A web site and bulletin board dedicated to sailing small boats long distances. Good group. Two people from there are currently in the Bahamas cruising.
