for a customer a few years ago- other than wearing out a BUNCH of blades -The Neptune has a THICK hull- it went just fine. I'm sure James didn't even have second thoughts by that time.
By the way, Craig and Rose ( S/V Faith) over on SailFar also visited James and Mei in their Pearson Ariel-JUST before they jumped to West End. That's where they are now. That boat, "Faith",also has an outboard in a well, although right now they are having some troubles with the engine.
