Hi Mike; Here's a pic of the keel on my '61 Dutch built Polaris. It has the iron nose, and swing CB you describe. It also has the wide companionway, and rounded bulkhead opening to V-birth, mentioned. There is also a little bronze plaque that identifies it as being hull #8,year built, builder,etc. Not a long ID number as you describe?Was the # cast into the fiberglas? "Chickadee" was purchased off the floor of the London England boat show, and shipped directly to Toronto Harbour as deck cargo. I believe the same Dutch built boats were shipped to U.S.A. and called "Sailmaster 26"? Cheers, Bill McNamara.
