How are you determining that they're "slightly looser"? Turnbuckles can back off if they're not siezed properly, and the wire could relax a little under use. But I would think any "stretch" after a sail in medium wind would be hard to detect by hand or sight.

Some folks think that some boat hulls actually squeeze out of shape a bit under heavy load, causing slack rigging while sailing. But I would think that "slack" would go away when the hull resumed its resting shape.
