Wire don't stretch; at least not that much. And if you've actually pinned down the turnbuckles so they can't back out, the only explanation left is that your mast is dropping - I'm assuming it's deck-stepped like the Meridians - or your chainplates are pulling out of the bulkheads or knees to which they're mounted.

Neither of these is unusual; neither is impossible to remedy.
