I know I have moved on to a different line of boats, but I also know that my Seafarer friends are a VERY knowledgeable group and can help in a pinch.
A while back I recall reading some threads on what to use as a sealant. If I recall the BIG No-No is silicone! But for the life of me I can't recall what I should use. I am preparing to install a new mid boom traveler over the companionway, I would rather it not leak and I don't want to re-seat it every year. So, remind me what is the sealant to use?

I use 3M 4200. It was formulated to be "not quite so permanent" as 5200 -- Charlie Jones, Meridian 25 "Tehani" Magnolia Beach, Tex -- 4/8/08 8:48p.m.
