Dear Forum,

I have almost completed the restoration of my 12 year old son's Seafarer 22 (Hull # 66 from 1975)- getting ready for the long trip from NY to Maine (in mid June).

I would like some guide linies in how to tune the rigging (the stays) the best possible way - also please confirm which stay go for & aft in the u-bolts on the deck.

Talking about u-bolts I noticed that the forward port one was in such poor shape that when I touched the nuts at the backing plate in the cabin they both FELL OFF - so in order to feel safe I must replace all 4 - Maybe this should be a warning to all to check those u-bolts!!!

Looking forward to your advise/recommendations.

Thanks Nick and Carsten
