While re-doing my 1988 Seaward I contacted Hake Yachts for specification in general and more specifically centerboard dimensions/factory mast stepping-lowering system. They either couldn't or wouldn't provide the needed info. and as for the centerboard they would make and sale me one though. So I depended on the information provided by the forum members and Scott's Seaward site. Hake should still be thanking Scott & the members of the forum on a daly bases for picking up the slack. Com-Pac Yachts was just the opposite. When rejuvenating my old Com-Pac 23 I was give not only specs for all the years of product plus, all other models as well, which I still have in my files. My experience is CUSTOMER SERVICE will make you or brake you.
