Though we have owned several Seawards, we currently sail a Precision 23.
However, I will say that, IMO, Ken has good intentions. His frustrations with trying to get some satisfaction due to the incorrect installation of the hose are real and I also experienced engine rust from the same problem (salt water spraying on a hot engine).
The beauty of this forum, which we joined 11 years ago when it was still a list serve and we had just bought a brand new 98 S 25, is that owners help other owners or potential owners with the sharing of information and experience. This includes Scott's website and Al's Okbayou web site, as well as others.
From a previous post by Ted.
" Whenever possible, Hake Yachts, LLC is interested in participating in respectful dialogue about our products and services and enjoys hearing about the joy owners get from sailing a Seaward. "
I don't take that to mean that there will be a public discussion on this or any other forum regarding latent defects or other liability. Could be wrong. Have been before.
Perhaps the new team at Hake will be more customer service oriented for both current and former models. Time will tell.
I do know that a satisfied customer is the very best advertising that money can not buy. Word of mouth is priceless.
