You can be glad they don't hang around. We can't get rid of them here and they add 1.3# of manure per bird per day. A real nusance. We even have a committee that addles there eggs each Spring and all of us report on nests we see. They make up a muck of cornmeal and dip the eggs in it then place them back in the nest. She sits on them but the cornmeal seals the shell and they won't hatch. If you just remove the eggs they just lay more. They are dumb birds but we must be smart to keep them from multiplying. John M.
