my 1983 has it

First - congratulations Bob, I think you will find it easy to love her.

it appears to be expanded urethane foam - not crazy about this choice.

it does not take all that much flotation for the fox. the keel is on the order of 400 pounds - the rest of the boat is lighter than lead and probably not far from neutral buoyancy.

in my fox the foam does not come close to filling the flotation chambers - i am skeptical as to the efficacy of the system as a whole.

someday i may fasten some foam stuff or inflatable stuff here and there to improve this factor.
