Bob's post reminded me of something i have considered since my last gulf trip.
I think it would be a good idea to get three small float bags for the fox.
one of the marine lift bag manufacturers offer this fact:
Lifting Capacity: Generally, an 18” diameter flotation bag will lift a minimum of 150 lbs. per linear foot
three small bags inside the craft with co2 inflation would float the boat - dividing the flotation into three compartments allows distribution of the flotation as well as prvides redundancy.
additionally the float bags could be deployed outside the craft to help keep the boat upright in the case of an accidental grounding in a falling tide.
I would do this in addition to installing some decent foam inside the cabin in the form of fastened mats for the berths.
Tim Marks' comments in his fox page had caused me to take a look at the foam when i had to cut an access hole into one of the compartments - i agree that flotation is a good idea but unfortunately i am not sure that a good idea was not used to produce flotation in the fox.
thoughts?
peace,
