Nylon 3 strand dock lines

One spring line from rear cleat on boat to forward cleat on dock.

Four dock lines. Two on front cleat then thru hawse pipe to either side.

Good if your front ones go aft towards dock and rear ones for forward towards dock.

6" fenders

With spring line, you can get boat off dock and not have anything touch.8rzm

There are other opinions YMMV
