Do you feel that with so much weight in the center of the boat it is more succeptible to "hobby-horsing"? I moved the single battery mounted under the starboard settee to a dual battery set-up under the V-Berth and noted that she (my 23) is a lot more stable, though I now need to re-paint the waterline.
With the 100lb honda hanging off the back, balanced with batteries and water in the V-berth, she takes on chop easier by "pushing through" raher than lifting and slamming the bow.
