I'm located in Colorado Springs and ended up purchasing Uff Da in Atlanta. I hauled her from Atlanta to Colorado in two days, and I'm sure it was greater than 1200 miles. The Seaward hauls so nicely that I wouldn't be too concerned. The tires are another issue, and getting new ones is a good insurance policy.
I think the previous owner was honest, but we were disappointed in the condition of the bright work when we arrived in Atlanta. Also, there were a couple serious issues that I stumbled upon while going through the boat with a fine tooth comb. For example, three of the four brass bolts holding the raw water filter together were broken. That could have sunk the boat if I hadn't noticed it.
So, if you do buy it, go through it with eagle eyes. I have found that most of the issues with the Seaward are visible if you just look at or wiggle it. Also, they are not difficult to fix. It isn't like larger boats where issues can be almost impossible to inspect or get into a position to fix them.
